It’s the most wonderful time of the year because Jesus is the reason for the season! Christmas has a tendency of making me reflective and thankful. I reflect on Christmases past; Grandparents I miss, friends I don’t see anymore, and children that used to be shorter than me! Another year has flown by…
I’m thankful because God has blessed me with a wonderful and healthy family, a good place to work, lots of friends, and all of you. I’m thankful for a wonderful year, that our customers are the best, and I love talking to you, working with you, praying for some of you and with others. I love to hear about your children in college, in various sports, and I’ve learned a lot from you.
So I thought I would share some of what I’ve learned with all of you.
1.You are never done as a parent! As countless numbers of you come across my office, I am amazed how gracious you are about this. I really thought that I would be done some day, but you have set me straight.
2.A nickel fits perfect in a 12v outlet…and…given enough time, a toddler will find this out.
3.Estimates should always include tax…[I’m still working on this.]
4.You don’t know if there is oil on your garage floor; your car is parked there [a perspective I’ve never thought of!]
5.The oil change stickers need to be filled out with indelible ink.
6.The old driveway really did scare lots of people!
7.My wife is always right! I won’t elaborate on this because she will read this letter…
8.The old van couch in the office is very popular, but not for sale.
9.No matter what the internet says… when your wife locks your keys in the car, you cannot unlock it with your key FOB and a smart phone!
10.“Can you hear that car sound…?” over the phone does not work.
I really enjoy people and our customers. I want to wish all of you a Happy Christmas and New Year. I look forward to all that lies ahead in the year. We here at Rogers Garage think that fixing cars is a group effort. It takes you and us to “Get-er done!”
Thanks and God Bless,
Todd Rogers, family, and staff
